The Autumnal Tag

I saw this tag floating about on a few blogs and decided that I would do it. The main reason being that I love Autumn, from the changing colour of the leaves and unplanned walks to cosying up on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate with the idea that Halloween is close and Christmas is almost in your grasp.

1. What's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Nero etc.?
I do have to admit that I aren't very adventurous when it comes to trying different drinks from coffee shops. And I also don't like coffee that much or tea. So I usually stick to the Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino's from Starbucks or Hot Chocolate. Let's face it Hot Chocolate is like the perfect hot drink for Autumn time.

2. Accessories- what do you opt for scarves, boots, gloves?
Layers. layers. layers. Layers is the way to go. I usually wear dresses with thick tights, long scarves, parka coats, mittens (aren't mittens like the cutest things ever?) and bobble hats. This season I am particularly loving ankle and Chelsea boots. I think they are really pretty but also and some sort of masculinity to your outfit.

3. Music- What's your favourite type of music to listen to during Autumn?
I don't think I change my music taste in autumn but there are certain bands and artists that remind e of autumn as I began listening to their music then or discovered their album. Bands such as Little Mix and The Courteeners. Very different- I know but hey ho. Other  than that the usual Christmas songs have to make an appearance towards the end of Autumn start of Winter.

4. Perfume- What's your favourite scent for this time of year?
I don't really have a favourite scent for this time of year. But this autumn I would really like to experiment with a new scent.

5. Candles- What scents will you be burning this season?
I really like Yankee Candle's Merry Marshmallow tea lights. They smell like baking and that is exactly what you want your house to smell like when it's chilly outside. I also have a mulled wine spicy scented candle that remains me of Christmas.

6. What do you love most about Autumn?
I love the excitement and magic that Autumn brings. The chilly nights where the weather's not fit for anything apart from staying inside, curling up on the sofa and watching multiple films with hot chocolate. The days where you can stroll through local parks and kick the crisp, fallen leaves with your feet. Where you can wrap yourself up in so many layer sand then head out shopping in the autumn chill with friends or family.

7. Favourite make-up look?
My favourite make-up look for Autumn is a simple cat eye and a bold dark lip. Or a smoky eye with a nude lipstick. Something simple but elegant and pretty.

8. What are you looking forward to the most this Autumn?
This Autumn I am mostly looking forward to the clothes. Don't you think autumn clothes are always the best? And spending time with friends and family during Halloween and Christmas. Also, going to see Ed Sheeran in October. However, I'm sorry Ed October will always be known as Nina Nesbitt's month to me :)

I tag everyone who has taken the time to read this as I am extremely grateful that you have; Thank you.

Bloglovin' and Pinterest

Hi guys,
So I recently created a Bloglovin' account and a Pinterest account. I'll leave both links below but first I just want to share with you what Bloglovin' is and how it works.

Bloglovin' is a way in which you almost sync your blog updates to Bloglovin's website. People can then find your blog a lot easier as there is a search bar element on the site and can also like and follow your blog with a click of a button. It is also very useful at helping you to find new blogs and blogs that are just starting out... like me. If you've just entered the world of blogging and want to create an audience then I think that this is one of the ways in which to do so. Go try it out and have some fun :)

Bank Holiday Monday

So today is a bank holiday, as I live in the UK (I don't think you have them in other countries?) and I just thought I'd share with you how I spent my day. It's going to be quite a short post but hey:)

Today, I woke up with every intention to meet my friend and then go down to the local park to practise some netball skills. But like every bank holiday the weather has been dull, dreary and wet. So we cancelled our plans and I have spent the day finishing up my homework as the 'Back To School' season is upon us and tidied my room as I will be out all day tomorrow.

Currently, I am watching 'Brave' with my mum. We haven't watched it before and have been wanting to for ages and so far we're really enjoying it. And we have both decided we want Merida's hair. If only I had red hair :)

By the way, I'm thinking about trying to do a make-up tutorial as a blog post and I'm also thinking about reading a book each month and then doing reviews about them on here. If you like the idea of these posts or think of any you'd like me to do drop me a comment. I would be thrilled to hear about what you have to say:)

Relaxing...

This week for me has been very hectic. The house is currently being renovated and so it is a complete mess and I have got lots of homework to be doing. So I decided to post about what I like to do to relax and unwind.

Firstly, I like to take a nice long shower with a body wash that smells extremely nice. My favourites being 'Soap and Glory's Rich and Foamous' body wash, 'The Candy Jar's Marshmallow hearts' (available from Tesco) and 'Dolly's Mixtures' Strawberry Daiquiri' (from Asda). They smell very sweet and ultimately makes me feel girly and pampered.

After showering, I will moisturize and exfoliate and then use a face mask to make me feel very clean and relaxed. There's nothing quite like a good face mask to make you feel like your on cloud 9.

Following this, I'll light some candles and  make myself a hot chocolate. I'll then curl up on my bed and watch a film (most likely a chick flick... something like Love Actually or 50 First Dates) or lose myself in an exciting novel that no doubt I have read hundreds of times before.

Here's to hoping you have a wonderful evening and I get to finish clearing my room so that I can have one to.

Sorry my bottle of Marshmallow hearts is dented, I bought it like that as it was the last bottle and I had to have it because it smelt so delicious.

New Glasses..

I am so excited to tell you (although it has no effect on you) that I have recently bought 2 new pairs of glasses. If you are a glasses wearer, then you will probably understand my excitement, or at least I hope so.
Some people tend to ask me why I always get 2 pairs of glasses and it's because I seem to get really bored with wearing glasses and then ultimately stop wearing them and so in order to stop this I buy 2 pairs so I can switch it up a bit from time to time. The downside to this is it takes me a while in the morning to decided on which pair to wear that day :L

The first pair I purchased are what I think I will be wearing every day. They are the more ordinary pair of the two. They are the FCUK 99 pair in green (or so it says on the Specsavers website, I think they are actually blue). They are quite big and round, with a slight cat eye.
My second pair are the Red Or Dead 100 pair which are black and have an accentuated cat eye. They are extremely quirky and unique and make you look like you have just walked out of the 50s. Above the lenses (on the cat eye) they have got 3 magnets which allow you to clip various coloured strips on. Which makes the glasses even more wearable as they give you many different looks and they seem to accentuate the cat eye even more, which is brilliant for me as this is the main reason I bought them. The strip bits (I don't know what to call them) come in a red, black and sort of a marble sandstone colour. You can see them in the pictures below.

My Red Or Dead glasses can also be seen in Tanya Burr's 'Everyday make up for Glasses Wearers!' video. I shall leave a link to that down below along with the link to both pairs of my glasses on the Specsavers page.

I love both pairs but now have the immense decision of which to wear when we go out for tea tonight.

I may be posting again today, as I didn't post the other day so...look forward to that:)

Climbing and Cupcakes

As you can probably tell by the title I have spent today climbing trees and baking cupcakes. An odd combination I know but me and my friends are pretty weird.

This morning, I spent my time in a boiling conservatory with 5 of my friends making your average cupcakes (still absolutely gorgeous though), listening to my summer playlist (Watch out for a post about that tomorrow) and just generally having a laugh. And trust me unleashing 5 teenagers in a friends kitchen, while the adults are out can be very entertaining...possibly not for the neighbours.

After baking for England we decided to go on a short walk and climb some trees. Something that very few of us had ever done. Lets just say I was in an adventurous mood and went pretty high up and then faced the ultimate question...'How the hell am I going to get back down?!' I did (obviously) make it back down to ground level but let just say a pair of shoes had to be forfeited to the overwhelming heights, along with a pair of suppose-to-be-black-but-turned-green jeans.

But through today's traumas and giggles it can be said that I really enjoyed feeling 10 years old and am hoping I will be able to do it again soon.

Product Review: Elemis melting cleansing gel

This fancy cleanser is something that has managed to worm it's way into my daily skin care routine. It does everything it says on the tin (well tube really but never mind) and I really love the way it leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. Within it's first few uses I could tell that my blemishes were being reduced and my skin felt baby soft :)

I could tell a difference the first time I used it; the effect was amazing and is now something that I just can't live without.

It is quite expensive (averages at approx. £22) but for the result it provides I have found that it is well worth the money.

It is a cleanser that I definitely will be repurchasing.
