New Years Resolutions.

New Years Resolutions:

-Take more photos. I've just had a bridge camera for My Birthday (Nikon Coolpix L830) and I already love and study Photography as a GCSE and this year I want to document everything. From random long walks to holiday adventures. Your coming everywhere with me this year.

-Write more posts on here about my experiences and opinions. I think this would be a good opportunity for you guys to actually get to know me. So expect me to be more opinionated this year. Lets get talking about those big topics and controversial issues.

-To eat healthier. Isn't this one of everybody's resolutions every year? Seriously, though I am going to give it a good go at eating healthier and food types in the right proportions.

-To drink more water. This one kind of relates to the last one but it's just as important. Drinking more water can help your skin flush out impurities leaving it clear, clean and glowing, whilst also replenishing your energy so you can cope better with your busy schedule.

-To start jogging. I began jogging last year a bit whilst also walking. This year I want to become a lot more fitter and be able to go on jogs most nights.

-To be more positive. One of my best friends is always so positive and optimistic that has inspired me to try and be a bit more like her. Not everyone hates you. In fact I bet it's a very very small minority. 2015 is the year when I have to start being more positive. This year I want to put myself in situations where I don't feel comfortable. Stepping out of your comfort zone is good sometimes you know.    :)

I hope this has inspired you to think about what you want to accomplish in 2015.

How to Survive Christmas Shopping.

Hi guys, I know I haven't been on in a while but I have been so busy with school work and besides I'm back and feeling more festive than ever.
I thought I'd share with you some of the things I've found out that can really help the nightmarish task of Christmas shopping.

1- Make a list. Lists are the way to go Ladies and Gentlemen. Make one of who you need to buy for, where you need to get it from and how much it's going to cost you. This will save you having any nasty surprises when you get to the till. Also, don't forget to take a pen-to cross off the things you've just bought. Remember, organisation is key.

2- I've found that it's best to go Christmas shopping early in the morning. Just as the shops start to open. I know if your anything like me then it's a right royal pain to get up out of your nice warm bed when it's dreary and dark outside, but trust me you'll thank me for it in the long run. The trick with Christmas shopping is to make it as less stressful as possible and so if you go earlier it means less people and less people means less stress.

3- There's always the internet. If your struggling to find a present for that person who's always very difficult to buy for there's always the internet. There are some great sites out there that can help you find something that they will love. And if you order it now, it'll come in plenty of time for Christmas.

4- Don't panic, after all Christmas shopping should still be very enjoyable. Try to make it like a checklist. Spend the whole day Christmas shopping- have a look around the different stalls and shops and stop off for a hot drink to warm you backup while you listen to the various Christmas songs playing in the stores.

I'm very excited for Christmas this year...only 16 days till the big day. Over the next few weeks I'm going to be posting a lot of festivity so keep checking my blog. See you soon,
Leah-Marie xo

Bonfire night

Happy Bonfire night guys, I hope you all had a fantastic night full of sparks, colour and laughter.

Originally my family had planned that we would be having fireworks this Saturday and so I wasn't going to post until then but since then we have cancelled it as we have all had such a hectic week. But on Wednesday I did go out onto the green outside our house and watch everyone else's fireworks.
It was honestly quite beautiful. And that's coming from somebody who hates fireworks because of the loud noises- especially the screechy ones! It was a clear night; all the stars were out, it was slightly cold. Cold enough to require those massive cuddly coats we all have and in every direction there were striking, bold sparks filling the night sky. Reds, Blues, Purples, Greens. Beautiful. As I stood there I felt a sort of calmness wash over me. Like I needed them crucial 10 minutes to just stand and breathe. With all the chaos of everyday life don't you ever feel like you need that?
It was a moment I think I will remember forever.

My family has arranged that we are going to go to my Brothers house on Saturday to have a Chilli with them. Don't think there'll be fireworks but just being together at this time of year is always great.

I hope you had a brilliant evening on Wednesday and that you have a fantastic weekend planned.

The Ed Sheeran Concert.

Oh my goodness. Can I just put out there that Ed Sheeran is a very talented musician and if any of you ever get the chance to go and see him live then please snatch it with both hands!

The day was perfect we set out for Birmingham at about 1 o'clock (I'm going to skip the whole journey there because who wants to hear about what we were talking about and listening to the whole ride there? :L )
When we arrived the queue was fairly long, being the clever people we are we bought sandwiches, crisps and jammy doughnuts with us to eat whilst we were waiting. Brilliant idea; helped you to think of something other than how cold you were. It wasn't really that cold it was just the wind that was bitter. If there wasn't any wind then we would have been fine. May I just point out that I also developed a cold on Saturday night/Sunday morning so I wasn't feeling too good. :(
When the Arena doors opened we were directed to the standing area, where we queued again. This was the final queue and the excitement felt at that moment was unexplainable.
The very nice attendants, I think that's what you call them, let us into the actual arena in a single file line, this was a bit of a nightmare as we were in such a wide queue previously. However, I can understand there reasons for doing it; health and safety for example- it would have been crazy letting all those people just run to the front of the arena, there would have been some trampling.
When we finally picked our spot for the night, roughly about 10 rows of people from the front, we sat down to save our leg energy.
And then about an hour later, the support acts started to come on; Jamie Lawson and Saint Raymond. Jamie was first. He is brilliant. He is quite similar to Ed's style of music, so if you like Ed then your bound to like Jamie. He sung this one song called 'I wasn't expecting that' and honestly the song speaks for it's self. I swear my mum is obsessed with that song now, she must have played it 3 times Monday Morning. I'll leave a link to that song on YouTube and to his page below. Saint Raymond reminded me a lot of The 1975. They have the same edge and quirkiness that The 1975 possess. There songs were very catchy and you also found yourself wanting to dance even though you hadn't heard them before. My mum said she thought they were ''very eighties''. Probably because they used a lot of synthesizers.
Now for the big act.
ED SHEERAN EVERYBODY.
Ahhhhhhhhhh. He was so incredibly perfect. He sang the majority of my favourite songs including Tenerife Sea and Thinking Out Loud. He also played an amazing combination of one of his songs and a Backstreet Boy's song. Which my brothers girlfriend loved as she is a huge Backstreet Boys fan. Ed's ability to go from rapping about his life to singing so sweetly the words every girl wants their partner to say is something that needs to be spoke about more. His talent to play the guitar so expertly,  get the crowd wanting him to never leave and appearing very awestruck and down to earth is something of a rare gift amongst worldwide stars- his performance's are something that should be truly cherished. He is one of a kind. I couldn't have asked for a better night.  The backdrop/set of his concert was extraordinary, It consisted of roughly 7 screens. To which different animations and live videos of the concert were shown throughout the show. Accompanied by some well timed lighting. Not at all like some concerts I've gone to where the lights have blinded you every 5 seconds. The entire layout of the lighting and backdrop added to the hypnotising atmosphere. I danced, sang, laughed and cheered the night away. If only it could have gone on for longer. But sadly, the night did have to come to an end sometime.
There is no doubt in my mind that when Ed Sheeran tours again I will be attending. If I could I'd be  back there tonight if it wasn't for this cold.
Anyway, if you haven't listened to Ed's music, first off what have you been listening to lately?! and secondly I will leave a link for you crazy people below.

If you'd like to see more posts like this- of when I go to concerts then please leave a comment :)

Get ready with me... Ed Sheeran Concert Edition.

As I mentioned in my last post I am going to see Ed Sheeran this weekend and I thought I'd show you what outfit I've opted for.
I decided to go for plain black skinny jeans. These are one of my favourite pairs of jeans, they are really fitted but extremely comfy at one point it seemed that these were the only jeans I was wearing. These are available from New Look.

I then added my look-a-like 'Doc Martens' which are actually made by 'Goldigga'. These are my go-to boots for the winter if I'm wanting to create a grunge look. Originally, they came with black laces but after I so cleverly sucked them p the hoover I had to purchase some new ones and so I bought these striking orange ones. They were from a local shoe shop but I'm pretty sure you can get them at most high-street stores that sell shoes. I picked these to wear for Ed Sheeran as I knew that we were going to go quite early so the comfiest footwear I had would be essential.

I actually love this t-shirt! I've had it for quite some time now, probably from like the start of the summer but I am still in love with it. Look how cute the likkle kitty is. awwwww. This is like a cross between a crop top and a box t-shirt; it's not quite short enough to call it a crop top but not quite long enough or boxy enough to call it a box t-shirt. And because this is one of my many favourite t-shirts this was obviously the only one I was going to wear to an Ed Sheeran Concert. Plus, don't you think Ed Sheeran's ginger hair just reminds you of a cute lil' tabby cat?
No. Just me?

And here's a picture of my sexy fake 'Doc'ers' with my black jeans.

I hope you enjoyed this type of post, be sure to stay up-to-date with my blog over the next couple of days as I'll be doing a post of my night at Ed's concert and a holiday post.

Relaxing...

This week for me has been very hectic. The house is currently being renovated and so it is a complete mess and I have got lots of homework to be doing. So I decided to post about what I like to do to relax and unwind.

Firstly, I like to take a nice long shower with a body wash that smells extremely nice. My favourites being 'Soap and Glory's Rich and Foamous' body wash, 'The Candy Jar's Marshmallow hearts' (available from Tesco) and 'Dolly's Mixtures' Strawberry Daiquiri' (from Asda). They smell very sweet and ultimately makes me feel girly and pampered.

After showering, I will moisturize and exfoliate and then use a face mask to make me feel very clean and relaxed. There's nothing quite like a good face mask to make you feel like your on cloud 9.

Following this, I'll light some candles and  make myself a hot chocolate. I'll then curl up on my bed and watch a film (most likely a chick flick... something like Love Actually or 50 First Dates) or lose myself in an exciting novel that no doubt I have read hundreds of times before.

Here's to hoping you have a wonderful evening and I get to finish clearing my room so that I can have one to.

Leah-Marie xo

Sorry my bottle of Marshmallow hearts is dented, I bought it like that as it was the last bottle and I had to have it because it smelt so delicious.

New Glasses..

I am so excited to tell you (although it has no effect on you) that I have recently bought 2 new pairs of glasses. If you are a glasses wearer, then you will probably understand my excitement, or at least I hope so.
Some people tend to ask me why I always get 2 pairs of glasses and it's because I seem to get really bored with wearing glasses and then ultimately stop wearing them and so in order to stop this I buy 2 pairs so I can switch it up a bit from time to time. The downside to this is it takes me a while in the morning to decided on which pair to wear that day :L

The first pair I purchased are what I think I will be wearing every day. They are the more ordinary pair of the two. They are the FCUK 99 pair in green (or so it says on the Specsavers website, I think they are actually blue). They are quite big and round, with a slight cat eye.
My second pair are the Red Or Dead 100 pair which are black and have an accentuated cat eye. They are extremely quirky and unique and make you look like you have just walked out of the 50s. Above the lenses (on the cat eye) they have got 3 magnets which allow you to clip various coloured strips on. Which makes the glasses even more wearable as they give you many different looks and they seem to accentuate the cat eye even more, which is brilliant for me as this is the main reason I bought them. The strip bits (I don't know what to call them) come in a red, black and sort of a marble sandstone colour. You can see them in the pictures below.

My Red Or Dead glasses can also be seen in Tanya Burr's 'Everyday make up for Glasses Wearers!' video. I shall leave a link to that down below along with the link to both pairs of my glasses on the Specsavers page.

I love both pairs but now have the immense decision of which to wear when we go out for tea tonight.

I may be posting again today, as I didn't post the other day so...look forward to that:)

Product Review: Elemis melting cleansing gel

This fancy cleanser is something that has managed to worm it's way into my daily skin care routine. It does everything it says on the tin (well tube really but never mind) and I really love the way it leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. Within it's first few uses I could tell that my blemishes were being reduced and my skin felt baby soft :)

I could tell a difference the first time I used it; the effect was amazing and is now something that I just can't live without.

It is quite expensive (averages at approx. £22) but for the result it provides I have found that it is well worth the money.

It is a cleanser that I definitely will be repurchasing.
