The Ed Sheeran Concert.

Oh my goodness. Can I just put out there that Ed Sheeran is a very talented musician and if any of you ever get the chance to go and see him live then please snatch it with both hands!

The day was perfect we set out for Birmingham at about 1 o'clock (I'm going to skip the whole journey there because who wants to hear about what we were talking about and listening to the whole ride there? :L )
When we arrived the queue was fairly long, being the clever people we are we bought sandwiches, crisps and jammy doughnuts with us to eat whilst we were waiting. Brilliant idea; helped you to think of something other than how cold you were. It wasn't really that cold it was just the wind that was bitter. If there wasn't any wind then we would have been fine. May I just point out that I also developed a cold on Saturday night/Sunday morning so I wasn't feeling too good. :(
When the Arena doors opened we were directed to the standing area, where we queued again. This was the final queue and the excitement felt at that moment was unexplainable.
The very nice attendants, I think that's what you call them, let us into the actual arena in a single file line, this was a bit of a nightmare as we were in such a wide queue previously. However, I can understand there reasons for doing it; health and safety for example- it would have been crazy letting all those people just run to the front of the arena, there would have been some trampling.
When we finally picked our spot for the night, roughly about 10 rows of people from the front, we sat down to save our leg energy.
And then about an hour later, the support acts started to come on; Jamie Lawson and Saint Raymond. Jamie was first. He is brilliant. He is quite similar to Ed's style of music, so if you like Ed then your bound to like Jamie. He sung this one song called 'I wasn't expecting that' and honestly the song speaks for it's self. I swear my mum is obsessed with that song now, she must have played it 3 times Monday Morning. I'll leave a link to that song on YouTube and to his page below. Saint Raymond reminded me a lot of The 1975. They have the same edge and quirkiness that The 1975 possess. There songs were very catchy and you also found yourself wanting to dance even though you hadn't heard them before. My mum said she thought they were ''very eighties''. Probably because they used a lot of synthesizers.
Now for the big act.
ED SHEERAN EVERYBODY.
Ahhhhhhhhhh. He was so incredibly perfect. He sang the majority of my favourite songs including Tenerife Sea and Thinking Out Loud. He also played an amazing combination of one of his songs and a Backstreet Boy's song. Which my brothers girlfriend loved as she is a huge Backstreet Boys fan. Ed's ability to go from rapping about his life to singing so sweetly the words every girl wants their partner to say is something that needs to be spoke about more. His talent to play the guitar so expertly,  get the crowd wanting him to never leave and appearing very awestruck and down to earth is something of a rare gift amongst worldwide stars- his performance's are something that should be truly cherished. He is one of a kind. I couldn't have asked for a better night.  The backdrop/set of his concert was extraordinary, It consisted of roughly 7 screens. To which different animations and live videos of the concert were shown throughout the show. Accompanied by some well timed lighting. Not at all like some concerts I've gone to where the lights have blinded you every 5 seconds. The entire layout of the lighting and backdrop added to the hypnotising atmosphere. I danced, sang, laughed and cheered the night away. If only it could have gone on for longer. But sadly, the night did have to come to an end sometime.
There is no doubt in my mind that when Ed Sheeran tours again I will be attending. If I could I'd be  back there tonight if it wasn't for this cold.
Anyway, if you haven't listened to Ed's music, first off what have you been listening to lately?! and secondly I will leave a link for you crazy people below.

If you'd like to see more posts like this- of when I go to concerts then please leave a comment :)
